Jean-Paul Soul Creations
Louis Jean Paul was born and raised in Port Au Prince, Haiti where having been surrounded by a creative household with his grandmother, an African/Creole cook, his mother, a fashion designer and opera singer, and his father, a cabinet maker and accordion player, he developed a deep passion for art, music, and cooking.
Jean-Paul considers his art modernistic, impressionistic, and realistic, combining a mixed medium and fresco technique to create the most vibrant colors seen on canvas. He developed his skills at the Academy of Beau Art in Haiti, where he studied under the godfather of Haitian art, Percion Savin.
Jean-Paul migrated to the U.S. in 1974 in the hopes of “bringing something beautiful to America”. In addition to painting he plays the guitar and sings in English, Spanish, French, and Creole. Jean-Paul uses his talent to help the less fortunate people of Haiti, especially children, overcome their daily struggle to find clean drinking water.
